A wonderfully relaxing location, beautiful views and fresh air. The accommodation was excellent with the personal touch of flowers and cake on arrival - very welcoming. Mrs C, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk 27 February 2011
We have just returned home from a stay at The Old Granary. What a superb cottage, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The welcome plate of cakes and vase of flowers were a thoughtful touch. The surroundings of this cottage are amazing, with far reaching views from every window. Would thoroughly recommend this comfortable home if you are thinking of staying in the North Yorkshire Moor area. Lots to do within the local area, steam trains, long walks, wildlife galore and the lovely town of Whitby not too far away. We will be back for sure. Mrs B, Poole, Dorset 26 September 2010
Can not suggest any improvements, the most relaxing holiday and perfect location. Will be back. Mr K, RIPLEY, Derbyshire 25 November 2009
We spent a fantastic week at The Old Granary. We woke every morning to the sound of ducks and cockerels, and then took in the fantastic view from the breakfast table. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and their friendly pets came to say hello every day. A great base for visiting the coastal town of Whitby and the smaller Robin Hoods Bay. The North York Moors Railway is also well worth a trip and Roseberry Topping is just around the corner and offers great views of the surrounding (Cleveland) coast. Mr H, CARTERTON, Oxfordshire 13 July 2009
We found The Old Granary a charming, cosy cottage, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We woke up every morning to the sound of ducks and cockerels, and sat to breakfast with stunning views over the Moors. It is ideally located for trips to York, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. The North York Moors Railway is well worth a visit, and Roseberry Topping is just around the corner and offers great views and walks.

This is an excellent park with beautiful views. If you want a quiet holiday in order to 'chill-out' it is ideal, but is also perfect for walkers. This lovely spot seems miles from civilisation in the National Park but is, in fact, a convenient distance from the pretty village of Castleton, where there is everything you need. Watch out for wandering sheep in the street! MRS W, COLCHESTER 10 July 2009
A quiet location, friendly but not intrusive owners and ideally located for walking and touring the area. Mr S, Battle, East Sussex 10 June 2009
For a get-away-from-it-all holiday this cottage is ideal, within easy reach of the coast but away from the crowds. This cottage was spotless, comfortable and welcoming. We would be happy to recommend it to anybody!!!!! Mr F, WISBECH 06 June 2009
